Kate, our Marketing Manager has taken on the huge challenge of running 100km (62 miles) non-stop as part of ‘Race to the Stones’ on the 9th July 2022. The route takes Kate and her two enthusiastic friends along an ancient ridgeway on the oldest path in Britain, starting from Lewknor in Oxfordshire to the Avebury Stones on the North Wessex Downs and will be climbing 3,704ft in total.
This will be Kates longest run and biggest physical challenge yet, having only ran half marathons this is sure to test her.
Supporting Hawkfield Homes’ chosen charity, War Child, is always fulfilling however the opportunity to raise not just funds but also awareness of the incredible work that War Child undertake makes running this race for Kate all the more special. War Child is striving for a world in which no child’s life is torn apart by war. They protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones.
