DIY SOS participation

We are delighted to hear that Kate, our former forklift driver and now marketing assistant has had a productive and great week volunteering on the renovation of a house in Weston Super Mare with DIY SOS. The family have 3 children Louisa, Max and Harry who all live with life changing disabilities, meaning they will be full-time wheelchair users by their teenage years. All three children struggle with day to day life and that’s why DIY SOS and the local volunteers stepped up to help this deserving family. Kate volunteered 4 days of her time over the 2 week period in March 2019. Kate helped with the landscaping of the gardens and worked closely with local trades as well as Team Rubicon who offer life saving aid both home and abroad. Kate made us all proud by representing Hawkfield Homes for such a heart-warming cause to help this wonderful family. We can’t wait to watch this episode on BBC1 Dec 3rd 2020.
